Talk Description: This talk will cover fundamentals of web application security, ways to fully compromise an application and gain remote code execution (RCE), and best practices you can use to protect your application. Attendees will get access to a web application hacking platform to practice their skills.

Speaker Bio: Adele is a Security Engineer with a full-stack development and informatics background. She performs penetration tests of web applications, cloud-deployed software systems, and mobile applications. She is a proponent of developing tooling to improve security assessment automation and effectiveness. Previously, Adele interned in the Business Intelligence at Starbucks, was a teaching assistant for data science and server-side development classes, and a research assistant in the disaster resilience space.
